Campers will need to bring the following: 

 

- Refillable water bottle.

 

- Snack or small lunch first three days.

 

- *NO CLEATS* Only Indoors or athletic shoes. (Indoors recommend)

 

- Shinguards required at all times.

 

Meals:

 

- Lunch will NOT be provided the first three days, and each camper will be responsible for bringing a snack or small lunch. Pizza party on the last day!

- The email or text should contain your first and last name, your child’s first and last name, their age, and which camp date you would like to attend.

- Your child's spot will be secured as soon as your registration is paid.

- All refund requests need to be emailed to soccerlessons@flfootyacademy.com. There is a $50 non-refundable administration fee (This is included in your $300 price).

 

- Requests made more than 1 week prior to the start of camp - Full refund minus $50 administrative fee.

 

- Refunds requested 1 week prior to camp - Due to injury with medical note - Full refund minus $25 administration fee. 

 

- NO REFUNDS for cancellations within 48 hours of the camp start date.

Schedule for the week: 8am-12pm

 

8:00am - Arrival 

 

8:30am - Warmup/Agility, Footwork, Passing, and Receiving drills.

 

9:00am to 10:00am - Skill Moves, 1v1's, 2v2's and transition games.

 

10:00am - Water Break

 

10:05am-10:30am/Tactical and Small sided games.

 

10:30am to 11:00am - Lunch

 

11:00pm to 12:00pm- Match Play

 

12:00pm - Pick Up (NO LATER THEN 12:15pm)

 

**On Wednesday pick up will be 1:00PM for younger group as they will get to scrimmage on the full size pitch.**

 

**On Thursday pick up will be 1:00PM for older group as they will get to scrimmage on the full size pitch.**

​Training Overview for BOTH age groups:

 

1. **Technical Skills:**

   - Dribbling drills: Practice close control, change of direction, and speed.

   - Passing and receiving: Work on accuracy, timing, and different types of passes.

   - Shooting: Focus on different techniques, such as volleys, half-volleys, and free kicks.

   - Ball control: Improve first touch and trapping skills with various exercises.

 

2. **Tactical Awareness:**

   - Defensive tactics: Practice marking, angles, and team defense strategies.

   - Offensive tactics: Focus on creating space, attacking patterns, and finishing.

 

5. **Specialized Training:**

   - Small-sided games: Encourage quick thinking and fast play in tight spaces.

   - Position-specific drills: Tailored exercises for defenders, midfielders, and forwards.

 

6. **Match Play:**

   - Scrimmages: Simulate game situations to apply skills in a real context.

 

Bonus work for Ages 12-15

 

1. **Fitness:**

   - Speed and agility: Use ladder drills, sprints, and cone exercises.

   - Strength training: Incorporate bodyweight exercises or resistance training.

   - Endurance: Interval training, and high-intensity drills.

 

2. **Mental Toughness:**

   - Concentration drills: Activities to enhance focus and decision-making under pressure.

   - Team building: Activities that foster communication, trust, and camaraderie among players.

 

3. **Discussions:**

 - Injury prevention: Techniques and exercises to reduce the risk of common soccer injuries.
